The resolution of the many legal issues that arose with the Stock Exchange and Capital Committee at the time in fact constituted the basic framework for the legislation that followed regarding public offerings.

It has, in fact, shaped legislation regarding private brokerage firms and the development of this market with the incorporation of the first private companies and the subsequent buy-outs and mergers of major players in recent years.
